When he’s not working and writing, Matt is an intrepid traveller, and has documented his travels with a series of stunning photographs from Morocco and the Atlas Mountains.

He expands his readings with anecdotes about his adventures. A previous attempt to reach Nepal by motorbike in aid of Save the Children, had to be abandoned in the final stages, when he was advised that the route he was taking through Iran was too dangerous.

Matt Cartney is also a keen snow-boarder and mountaineer.
